Crisis Farming: The Essential Work of Feeding a Community (An Online Fundraiser)

The 2020 growing season at Newton Community Farm has been a year like no other. With pandemic quarantining, social distancing, growing food insecurity, and increased focus on the importance of local food systems, there’s so much to talk about right now. 

Newton Community Farm is holding a special online event on October 20 at 7:30 pm. “Crisis Farming: The Essential Work of Feeding a Community” will feature an insightful conversation with Farm Manager Greg Maslowe on the challenges facing small community farms and building the resilience of our local food system. This program will address how the Farm has adapted and thrived during the pandemic and the role NCF plays in addressing local food security.
